Receipt book, 1825-1835.

Receipts, dated 1825-1835, from Matteawan (now Beacon, N.Y.) and Fishkill, N.Y. They deal with household expenses: wages, taxes, newspaper subscriptions. There are also receipts on loose pieces of paper, some preprinted, laid into the volume. After Daniel Verplanck's death, some receipts name his estate, some his widow, Anne, and some one of his sons, James DeLancey Verplanck.
